MQM formally launches nationwide protest against workers' killings

ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has formally launched a nationwide protest against extra judicial killing of their workers. . The protest was started on Thursday from outside the Senate and will cover whole country.
MQM parliamentarian leader in the Senate Nasreen Jalil talking to media said that the 45 workers of MQM are still missing. He said we are not against Karachi Operation but all should be done under constitution and law.
Nasreen Jalil told that MQM workers are not only unlawfully captured but are also brutally tortured. 11 of our workers were extra judicially killed.
He said Salman Nooruddin was a disabled person and he was tortured. One of our other workers was tortured with electric shocks on his sensitive body parts.
We will not remain silent over this atrocity and barbarism. Being a mohajir is not a crime but is our identity, the MQM senator said.
We want media to independently investigate all incidents and we are ready to provide all necessaries information to them to conduct investigation.
Replying to a question he said that governor is a representative of the federal government so he cannot talk on these issues.
Regarding filing a case against the Sindh government he told that they would go to the last extent for the protection of their workers and our rights.
