MMA revival impossible: JUI-F

03 December, 2013

ISLAMABAD: JUI-F has declared the revival of MMA (Mutahhida Majlis-e-Amal) as impossible phenomena, (as yet): adding that "nothing is final in politics".

Talking to Online on Monday, the JUI-F spokesman Jan Achakzai also said that past experiences of forming a political platform by religious parties had been quite an encouraging and pleasant experience , yet "unfortunately, for the present it was quite an impossible revival '.

An earlier meeting, held quite recently had deliberated over regeneration of MYC (Milli Yakjehti Council) and MMA, simultaneously. However, analysts point out to visible complexity of political scenario in KPK, whence many former MMA allies are pitted against each other.

One glaring example pertains to major MMA component party of JI, entrenched in Provincial government alongwith PTI, which another MMA major component JUI (F) considers (PTI) as a major political adversary! : The situation entails a grand sacrifice for both JI and JUI-F.

JI has also distanced itself from PML-N due to 2008 elections, whence MRD had decided to avoid elections under Musharraf's tutelage; but PML-N had broken that pledge after some pretensions, while PTI and JI had boycotted.
