According to media news Pakistan Muhammad Asif became the world snooker champion after defeating Gary Wilson of Britain in the long thrilling nine hours final of the World Snooker. Muhammad Asif became the only second Pakistani to win the world snooker championship after Mohammed Yousef. After sixteen years Pakistan regained world snooker champion ship title and Mohammed Asif received heroic well come at Karachi International airport. Despite hard circumstances and limited resources Asif struggle and successful journey is good lesson for young generation of Pakistan. Despite lack of government support and without appointment of coach and manager Asif got world champion ship title. Asif is still jobless and running small snooker club in front of his house after government refusal and lack of support local snooker association collected funds for his journey and provide him necessary assistance. Unfortunately due to popularity of cricket in Pakistan, governments is not able to encourage other sports. Due to Lack of government support, poor training facilities, financial difficulties several talented sports man like Asif are not able to continue their successful journey which is very unfortunate.
