LOWER DIR: Pakistan has sealed its Lower Dir border with Afghanistan and taken solid and effective steps to check infiltration of militants from Afghan side, the district coordination officer (DCO) said. Checkposts have been increased, additional security forces deployed and alerted to deal with any incursions of the militants, the DCO added. While talking to media on Sunday, Lower Dir DCO Mahmud Aslam Wazir said that Lower Dir was a sensitive area as its western borders are linked with Afghanistan and Bajaur Agency. Militants from Afghanistan were attempting to attack the border areas, therefore, to prevent any attack, the border has been sealed completely, Wazir added. End.
