Knowledge and Malala... By Col. (r) Riaz

15 October, 2012

Recently a very appropriate and meaningful slogan has started appearing in the media – both electronic and print, pronouncing, "Padhney likhney ke sewa - Pakistan ka matlab kia". I want to congratulate the person who conceived of this powerful slogan so essential for the progress of Pakistan and wish it could be given still wider publicity through bill boards, postage stamps, envelops, and other stationery etc.. It could also be displayed in bold on all govt. buildings and important places. One of the best ways to commemorate it would be to dedicate it to the girl who has staked her life for the cause of knowledge for all through education – Malala Yousafzei.
