GENEVA: Kashmiris all across Europe on Tuesday staged protests outside United Nations office in Geneva over illegal India occupation of Kashmir. The demonstrators gathered at Broken Chair, Geneva to protest as well as endorse the recent Untied Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights’ report on Kashmir.
The protesters displayed posters at Broken Chair, demanding an end to the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
According to sources, the banners reflected the prolonged sufferings of the Kashmiris that are gravely twisted by the Indian media.
The main objective of the posters was to show India’s face to the world and seek support of the international community to ensure provision of basic human rights to the Kashmiris.
Kashmir has long been a bone of contention between India and Pakistan that has robbed lives of millions of Kashmiri people during their decades long self-determination struggle. Earlier UN human rights commission had issued its first ever report on Kashmiri peoples plight after 30 years, seeking an immediate international inquiry of the Indian atrocities and acts of state terrorism on unarmed civilians since 2016.
