Karachi is the economic hub for our country and it adds almost 60 percent to our total economic gains. It is a metropolitan city with a population of about 20-millions which is greater than many countries in the world. But during the last ten years this city witnessed massacre and mass killing, ransom, bhatta, illegal encroachments and things like that. The Supreme Court of Pakistan, in its judgement made a few years back, ruled that all the political parties which are active in Karachi have military wings (involved in notorious activities). This is enough the shame on our democracy and democratic parties which are giving the slogans of making Pakistan a paradise and Asian tiger etc. Now the new army chief and Rangers heads are taking precise and accurate measures to combat the giant of terrorism and disturbed law and order situation. The by-election in NA 246 and its peaceful completion is yet another hall mark in the history of Pakistan as earlier it was un-imaginable for any political party and its workers to launch such a campaign and contest due to the fear of MQM. Now MQM won the contest, fairly and we congratulate them. This will prove a real game changer in the history of this fortune maker city of Karachi as well as Pakistan on the whole. Our best wishes are with army and law enforcement agencies and we wish Karachi a city of lights again very soon. Long live Pakistan

Hassamuddin
