Karachi Book Fair... By Sana

11 December, 2013

The habit of reading books in the new generation and the zeal to acquire knowledge are the keys to success in any nation but Pakistani society lacks this spirit. Therefore, it was a pleasant surprise to see the overwhelming crowd of people of all ages and genders, especially the youth, in the Ninth International Book Fair at the Expo Centre in Karachi.

Unfortunately, the fair lasted for only five days depriving thousands of school, college and university students the opportunity to visit. Another notable thing is that publishers conducted different quizzes to increase the interest of the students. Such book fairs are very important in helping to increase a healthy book reading habit.
