Kandahar-Quetta flights to improve trade

KANDAHAR: The proposed air services between Kandahar and Quetta would enhance economic activities and lessen transportation problems of those living in the southern Kandahar province, an official said on Friday. Last Wednesday, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced that in the next two weeks they would launch air services between Quetta, capital of Baluchistan, and Kandahar city. Kandahar air port officer Ahmadullah Faizi said this service would start in mid December and it would ease movement of people between these two important cities. PIA is expected to launch two flights per week between Kandahar and Quetta. End.
