A brazen attack on the Kakul Academy, one of the country's finest and securest army training institutions, is definitely another wake-up call for the forces responsible for the security of the country's military installations. Our premier intelligence outfits like the ISI, the MI and the IB use the latest tools and techniques in cyber technology to tackle any situation. Their mandate includes working in close coordination with each other by holding regular meetings with civil agencies and district administration. One cannot imagine that our key defence installation and institutions have become so vulnerable to terrorist attacks despite the most sophisticated, hi-tech intelligence apparatus, devices and equipment available with the intelligence outfits.
