JI files petition against land encroachment in Karachi

KARACHI: A petition against illegal constructions on the land of Idara Noor-e-Haq has been submitted in the Sindh High Court on Monday. According to statement of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), a leased land of 1600 square yards in Deh Tapo Malir on the name of Idara Noor-Haq has been encroached and the construction of a stadium was being continued on the said land. It is pertinent to mention here that the Idara Noor-Haq is a society according to the Act of 1960 which has a survey number in 61 Deh Tapo Malir which was illegally encroached. On the said illegal encroachment, a petition for the issuance of stay order has been filed in the SHC. In the petition, the court was asked court to takes action against the illegal constructions and retrieve the land of Idara Noor-e- Haq from the encroachers, as none of the government departments has a right to construct any structure on the private land.
