Iranian border security men kill 'smuggler'

QUETTA: Two people were killed and another wounded on Saturday in separate incidents of firing while the pipeline supplying gas to Karachi was blown up.
According to sources, a man was killed and another wounded at Pak-Iran border when Iranian border security forces allegedly fired on a vehicle which was carrying smuggled stuff through the Iranian border. The incident occurred at Baghan. The deceased and the injured belonged to the Dasht area of the Kech district. However, official sources did not confirm the incident immediately.
Separately, unidentified armed men opened fire at a hotel in the Pasni Town of Makran division. Resultantly, a guest of the hotel, Saud, was killed. The assailants succeeded to flee the scene; however, the motive behind the murder could not be ascertained.
In another incident, the gas pipeline was blown up in the Subatpur area of Balochistan. Unidentified people placed explosives beneath the main pipeline at Pehnor Sanhari in the Malgozar police area.
Resultantly, the pipeline exploded and the gas supply from the pipeline was disrupted. However, no loss of life occurred in the incident. The police rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
