LAHORE : The information security is the upcoming challenge for the country's Information Technology (IT) industry. Chief Executive Officer NetSol Salim Ghauri, stated this while addressing the members of Computer Society of Pakistan, the oldest association of IT professionals in the country.
President Computer Society of Pakistan Tahir Basheer was also present on the occasion. Ghauri said the IT firms in Pakistan would be facing a big challenge for protecting information of their customers in upcoming years. He urged the participants to understand the required mechanism and implement it accordingly.
To a query regarding the mushroom growth of IT firms in the country, he termed it an encouraging sign for IT sector. He said the best performers would automatically be surviving at the end of the day, therefore, there's no need to worry about the mushroom growth of IT firms.
He hoped that his firm NetSol would achieve Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) Level 5 soon, which is the ultimate level on quality standard world-wide. "Implementation of world-acclaimed standard has changed the outlook of his company," he added.
