Indo-Pak cooperation in interest of entire region: Rasheed

26 December, 2013

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information senator Pervaiz Rasheed has said that cooperation rather than confrontation between Pakistan and India is in the interest of entire region.

On Wednesday, while talking to media men in president house after attending the ceremony held on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam day, he said Pakistan and India should work together for peace and progress.

He said, meeting of Indo-Pak DGMOs is a good gesture and both countries are moving forward gradually to improve mutual relations.

Replying to a query he said, changing of governments does not effect on relations because they are in the interests of state.

Commenting on the protests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) the senator said, it is the need of time that nation should get untied and political leaders should avoid division on different issues.
