India continuously violating human rights in IHK: Abbas Ansari

04 January, 2013

Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Maulana Abbas Ansari has said that India is continuously violating the human rights in the territory.

Maulana Abbas Ansari addressing a mourning meeting on the occasion of chehlum of Karbala martyrs at Chhattabal in Srinagar said that incidents like firing on civilians in Pulwama would continue to take place unless Indian troops were pulled out of the occupied territory.

He said that Hazrat Imam Hussain and his followers had sacrifice their lives for the upholding of truth, adding that the people of Kashmir would also continue their struggle till complete success.

Maulana Abbas Ansari appealed to the United Nations and the world community to put pressure on India to stop atrocities in the occupied territory and come forward to settle the dispute over Kashmir, once and for all, in accordance with the will of Kashmiri people.

Meanwhile, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front, Nayeem Ahmad Khan addressing his party activists in Srinagar urged India to give up its rigid and unrealistic approach towards Kashmir and settle it according to the will of Kashmiri people.

He appealed to the UN to implement its own resolutions on Kashmir so that the lingering dispute could be settled and permanent peace could be established in the region.

End.
