India cannot suppress Kashmir freedom struggle: Mirwaiz

06 February, 2013

SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that Kashmir is the fundamental issue between Pakistan and India, adding that there should be no politics on the Kashmir dispute.

In a statement on the Kashmir Solidarity Day on Tuesday, Farooq said that Pakistan's moral and diplomatic support for Kashmir's right of self-determination would boost the morale of Kashmiris.

He said that the Kashmiris would continue their just struggle for self-determination. He said that India could not succeed in suppressing the indigenous struggle for independence in the occupied Kashmir.

Mirwaiz said that valiant Kashmiri people were standing resolute against the Indian oppression and brutality.

End.
