Imran Khan's ill-thought policies... By Saanwal
23 October, 2012
Gathering the masses and cheering them on is one thing while actually fulfilling their demands, and not just deluding them, is another. Imran Khan, unfortunately, has not proved himself to be a practical, sensible leader though he has won widespread acclaim. His 'tsunami' was hailed as a marvellous way out of the current crisis Pakistan is confronting. Khan's aspirations and intent, as delivered through his 'tsunami' speech, indeed seemed farsighted but, as time passes by, his formerly unambiguous, vibrant messages do seem to get hazy and weak. On the one hand, Khan shows himself to be a practicing Muslim but on the other hand he joins hands with crooked politicians just because they are 'election-worthy'. Now, how can anyone justify 'electability' as complementary to honesty or religious purity? Such people may be beneficial for the PTI but they are a threat to the whole nation; they have been in politics for years but have only participated in scams and frauds. Is it not mere self-indulgence to join hands with dishonest, corrupt politicians only to solidify one's political position? These actions cast doubt on Khan's intentions, be it abolishing corruption or putting an end to inflation. Imran Khan cannot imagine how many supporters he has lost because of this move on his part. Khan had better recruit some fresh young people as new PTI members. I am sure that younger, brighter minds can change things around for the PTI, helping Mr Khan retain the support of the masses. Why is it that so many leaders end up losing their charm even before having a chance to rule? SAANWAL KARAMAT BARLAAS

Inter-party election |
Dear Sanwaal, What can be better way to choose who should be given party tickets for upcoming election? PTI has given this opportunity to its member; they can choose who should be given tickets. I hope that after the party election, you will see best possible candidates in different constituencies.

You are delusional and who said he has lost support wake up and look around everyone who has any sense is supporting PTI not Zardari or the Sharif's. No one is more corrupt then this current coalition, if you can't see it then you are deaf, dumb, blind as well as stupid.....may God help you just keep saying Bhutto Zinda heh Pakistan will be safe :P
