KARACHI: MQM chief Altaf Hussain on Sunday complained that the anchorpersons and columnists supporting the MQM's viewpoint were accused of being on the payroll of the party.

Addressing a public meeting at a football ground in Gulshan-e-Iqbal over the phone from London on Sunday, Altaf said during his address to the Hyderabad rally, he had used the word 'some' for the anchorpersons, but those nursing grudge against the MQM had generalised the word and mistaken it for all.

"This will be the result if someone is quoted out of context. Altaf is not like the other politicians; he does what he says." The MQM chief said he will pray to the Almighty to keep the MQM's critics on the right path.

End.
