KARACHI, March 16 (Online): Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) officials have recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition including landmines and anti-tank rockets, said the spokesman of PCG on Wednesday.
The PCG recovered the arms and ammunition cache when combed Talhar mountain range near Gwadar where the ammunition was dumped in a cave, the spokesman said. However, he said, no arrest was made in that connection so far.
It is believed that the ammunition and lethal weapons were dumped for terrorism activities in Gwadar area.
The arms and ammunition, dumped at the desolate range, was to be shifted at night but the vigorous and vigil patrolling by PCG team round the clock thwarted their nefarious attempt, the spokesman said.
PCG special investigating team is further investigating the clues to apprehend the culprits.
