Horse trading to occur if non party elections are held: Qureshi

LAHORE: Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shah Mehmmood Qureshi has said that the transparency of local bodies is under threat if non party elections are held than horse trading would be done.
Addressing a press conference at the Lahore Press Club Qureshi said Punjab government is violating the code of conduct regarding the LB polls. Millions of rupees are being spent on development schemes through back dated tenders, government employees are being transferred and Punjab ministers are running the election campaign.
He suggested to the opposition parties to set up a joint moitoring tean for transparent elections.
Qureshi warned the Punjab government that if by lections are rigged than lot of hue and cry would be raised and the situation would deteriorate. The public would come out on streets.
He said that elections should be transparent whether PTI wins or not.
He said that the whole nation has reservations on the delimitation of the constituencies as it has been done on political basis.
He said that PTI ideas are similar to the ideas of father of nation Quaid-e-Azam. He hailed the Christian community on their religious festival of Christmas.
