Haqqani appears before Commission refutes drafting memo
09 January, 2012
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's ex-ambassador to US Husain Haqqani recorded his initial statement before the memogate commission on Monday, our sources reported.
The commission recorded the statement of Husain Haqqani in question and answer manner in the commission room here.
In the statement, Haqqani once again refuted drafting and delivering the memo to Admiral Mike Mullen. He recorded the statement as Pakistan's former ambassador to US.
Earlier, PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif on Monday appeared before the memogate commission and submitted his written statement, our sources reported.
Talking to media outside Islamabad High Court, Nawaz Sharif said memogate is a serious and sensitive issue and a plot against Pakistan. He said he has not leveled allegations against anyone but it is a conspiracy to malign Pakistan's sovereignty.
'I am a petitioner and showed respect by appearing before the commission', Nawaz said.
PML-N chief claimed that Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) has done nothing on this vital issue so far.
Nawaz said the memo is a conspiracy against Pakistan and whoever is involved in this should be exposed. ' I have not named Haqqani or Zardari, just pleaded for investigation into the matter', he added.
End.

It is only Pak leadership and not the defender's crisis |
The robbers and thieves want to give orders to the nation's defenders and put the lives of 180 million Paks at stake. They even imported illegally, criminals like Raymond Davis and thousands others through illegal visas and were responsible for scores of Paks killed in Lahore and elewhere and kept circumvent when the rat was smelled about sabotaging attempt that could have led to whisking away of Pak nukes. Now, the traitors treasonous plans and schemes along with their masters planning to destabilize and destroy Pakistan in open assertions and acts everywhere have been checked and made to fail miserably by Pak patriot army and ISI defenders with pain to the collaborators within. The Pak nation has no reason to commiserate with the crcodile(Gilani and CO) tears. The nation will and does admire and trust its defenders i.e the armed forces and ISI of Pakistan.
The nation has every right to know by all means if the memo gate was real or hoax and the supreme court did the right thing to call in Kiayani and Pasha to do the honest talks pertaining to the security and lives of 180 million Paks.
These misfit rulers are not going to, and are even incapacitated to pick up defending gun to save the Paks, let alone fire it on Pak foes. They have done enough of un-forgivable treasonous blunders of playing with the national security and integrity by joining the foreign foes in trickery, traitoring and treasonous ways in anti Pak designs.
Pak military and ISI are there to check the sabotaging intruders. If the robber is caught red handed with guns, then those living in the Pak house will admire and bestow liberal applause on the saviours of the nation's 180 million people rather than listen and commiserate with tricks and traps of the traitoring and trasonous enjoinders who are hell bent to engender and enjoin the armed intruders and Pak nation killers like Raymond Davis and thousands others.
Wake up Pak nation and vote out the traitors in next elections.
