Govt will write letter to Swiss authorities on SC order: Aitzaz

31 January, 2012

ISLAMABAD: Former president of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and counsel of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Aitzaz Ahsan on Monday said the government will write a letter to Swiss officials if directed by the Supreme Court.

Talking to reporters outside the Supreme Court, Ahsan said the PPP government would respect and implement all the orders of the Supreme Court. The former SCBA president said the letter to Swiss officials will be written if the apex court gives 'clear-cut' instructions.

Asked whether he will move the court for an adjournment in prime minister's court contempt case, he said they will not seek adjournment but will plead their case before the apex court with arguments.

End.
