Govt is a total failure, says Imran

23 November, 2012

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said allies should quit government after its failure in overcoming violence.

Addressing a press conference here, he said situation in Sindh is very dangerous and government is helpless before the criminals and mafias. "Peace cannot be restored without depoliticizing the police department," he added.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will not be part of any alliance before or after the elections, adding PTI would sit on opposition benches if could not win majority to form government.

Urging people not to vote for political parties having militant wings, Imran said people should not waste their votes.

He announced that PTI would soon hold a massive public gathering in Sukker. Imran said there was an international conspiracy to fuel sectarian violence in Pakistan.

End.

Reader Comments:

De-politicize the police is the only solution

Military operation or Rangers is not solution to Karachi problem. As Imran Khan said govt has to de-politocize the police. But unfortunately govt is not willing to do so. They are more interested in saving the alliance than saving lives of poor Karachiites.
