Governor house attacked

HERAT: The Taliban allegedly attacked house of a district governor in Farah province last night, an official said Thursday.

The Taliban conducted attack on house of Abdul Samad, governor of Balabaluk district last night, the Farah police chief Aaqa Noor Kaintoos told the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP). He, however, added the police repulsed the attack.

The police and family of the district governor did not suffer casualties in the attack, he said, adding two Taliban fighters were injured in the gunfight.

The Taliban have not said anything in this regard till filling of this report.
