Gilani's son abductors demand huge ransom

LAHORE: Vice Chairman of Pakistan People's Party and former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has been contacted by the kidnappers of his son, Ali Haider Gilani, who have demanded ransom of billions of rupees.
British news website, quoting a local TV channel, says Haider Gilani's abductors have demanded billions of rupees as ransom for the release of Ali Haider Gilani. A former MNA who is in contact with the abductors and Gilani has made it possible to hold talks.
The former prime minister also had telephonic contact with his son and enquired about his health. Ali Haider was abducted during the election campaign in suburbs of Multan earlier this year.
