Gilani reveals plan against kashmir's demography

SRINAGAR: The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has unfolded an Indian conspiracy to change the demographic composition of occupied Kashmir by settling communal Hindus from India in the territory. Syed Ali Gilani addressing a press conference in Srinagar, today, said that the plan had been finalised with the consultation of the Israeli government. He maintained that the Indian government intended to follow the Israeli pattern of settling Jews in the Palestinian territory. The veteran leader pointed out that the return of Pandits from Jammu and India to the occupied territory would be made a pretext to the new plan. Syed Ali Gilani revealed that stoking a civil war in the territory was part of the plan. He said that he was not averse to the return of Pandits to the Valley but setting up of separate zones for them was totally unacceptable. The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front in a statement in Srinagar, today, condemned in strong terms the evacuation of Kashmiri liberation activists from their self-owned houses. The statement said that India was toeing the line of Israel in suppressing the Kashmir movement. It said that after sealing the house of Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, the house of another activist, Mushtaq Ahmad Sufi, was also attached at Naid Kadal in Srinagar. Hurriyet leaders, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Zafar Akbar Butt, Yasmeen Raja, Javed Ahmad Mir, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and Muhammad Iqbal Mir addressing a mammoth gathering at the site of gutted Dastgeer Sahib shrine in Srinagar announced that the people of Kashmir would reconstruct the shrine on their own and would not take help from India and its occupation authorities. Their speeches were punctuated by pro-freedom slogans. The Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League in a statement castigated the occupation authorities for not producing its Vice Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt before a court in Srinagar for hearing in connection with a false case registered against him. Masarrat Alam Butt is illegally detained Kathua Jail in Jammu. End.
