Gilani mulls filing review plea against disqualification

10 December, 2012

MULTAN: Former prime minister and Senior Vice Chairman of PPP, Yousaf Raza Gilani on Sunday said that he was consulting legal experts for a review petition against his disqualification, as the situation has changed after writing of a letter to the Swiss government for reopening of graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.

Talking to media persons at the residence of his brother Ahmad Mujtaba Gilani, the former prime minister said that the PML-N won by-elections on seats vacated by his party and it was not a major achievement. He said the PPP was an ideological party and people in its fold had a particular ideology which cannot be changed overnight. Gilani said that when Nawaz Sharif was arrested, people changed their ideology.

End.
