Gen Sharif has no presence on Facebook, Twitter: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) clarified on Thursday that new Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Raheel Sharif does not maintain any account on Facebook and Twitter.

ISPR DG Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa said in a Twitter message that General Raheel Sharif has no Twitter or Facebook account and "all the accounts in the name of army chief are fake".

"All accts (sic) in his name (are) fake and being reported," Major Gen Bajwa clarified. There are several unofficial Facebook pages and Twitter accounts under the name of Gen Sharif and followers of these accounts have increased significantly since new army chief assumed charge of his office.
