Four killed, three injured in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Four people were killed whereas three others were injured in different incidents of violence in Karachi on Monday.

Three trussed-up bodies were discovered near Wilayat Shah Mazaar in Malir. According to the police, the victims had been tortured before being shot dead.

On receiving a tip-off, police recovered the bodies and later shifted them to a hospital. The victims could not be identified.

Meanwhile, two policemen sustained injuries in a firing incident near Chakra Goth Graveyard. One of the injured policemen later succumbed to his injuries.

Moreover, two people were injured near Anda Mor in New Karachi when an unknown motorcyclist sprayed them with bullets and then fled.

Targeted operations led by Rangers' forces with the support of police are ongoing in the city under a directive issued by the federal government against criminals already identified by federal, military and civilian agencies.
