Four MQM workers shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI: Four workers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were shot dead, while the body of a man was found from the city on Tuesday.
The four MQM workers were gunned down in Ghazi Nagar within the jurisdiction of Pakistan Bazaar Police Station. Police said the victims, namely Pervez Alam, 38; Jabbar, 35; Nadeem, 35; and Riaz Ahmed, 28, were sitting at a tyre shop when at least eight armed men on four motorcycles came there and fired at them indiscriminately before fleeing.
The victims were rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where the doctors pronounced all of them dead. As the news of the killings spread, a large number of MQM leaders, workers and MPA Nadeem Zafar reached the hospital.
