Forthcoming elections; PML-Q completes spade work

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (Q) on Sunday completed initial working concerning elections in the country. PML-Q and various working group held a high level meeting regarding general elections, party strategies in this regard. It was formally decided in the PML-Q meeting that more than 75 candidates from National Assembly and 120 from Provincial Assemblies of various constituencies will field their candidates in this regard. PML-Q has also shown reservations on the seat adjustment as some of the PPP leaders are getting prepared for taking part in the elections from those constituencies from which PML(Q) got successful in the past. Whereas it had been decided among the political parties in the ruling alliance that the candidates of those parties would be given an opportunity in the elections in those constituencies, where they were victorious in the previous elections and other parties in the coalition would support it. There are also some differences between PPP and PML-Q were noticed on the seats of district Gujrat and some hawks are airing the issue due to which the breach could be widened in both parties before general elections.
