Foreigner among 5 arrested; weapons recovered

QEUTTA: At least five suspects, including a foreigner, were arrested by a law enforcement agency (LEA) and weapons were recovered from them during a search operation on Smuggli Road in the provincial capital on Tuesday. The LEA sources said that acting on a tip-off, law enforcement teams cordoned off the Killi Shadi Khan area on Smuggli Road and launched a search operation in which five suspects were arrested, including a foreigner. The law enforcement personnel also recovered weapons and ammunition from the possession of the accused. The recovered weapons and ammunition include a 9mm pistol, 20 magazines, 21 pistol rounds, a 12-bore repeater, three Kalashnikovs, 260 Kalashnikov rounds, 8 bandoliers, one digger, an SMG butt, and a satellite phone SIM. The arrested suspects were shifted to the police station and a probe has been launched. End.
