Five refugees dead, hurt in shelling

ASADABAD: Cross-border shelling killed a Pakistani refugee and wounded four others in Dangam district of eastern Kunar province last night, an official said Thursday.
Hamish Ghulab Shinwari, administrator of Dangam district, told Afghan Islamic Press that 25 rockets were fired on different areas of the district from Pakistan's side of the border last night.
He said a rocket struck the house of Pakistani refugee family in Zor Barawal area, killing one person and wounding four others.
Afghan officials reported two days ago that Pakistani ground forces attacked border posts of Afghan forces in Dangam district, killing a police and wounding five others.
