Five killed in stampede in Muharram procession

SUKKUR: Five people were killed and many others injured when stampede happened during Muharram's mourning procession in Sukkur town of Sindh.

As per media reports, the officials said thousands of people were attending the historical procession in Rohri taluka at Sukkur on Saturday.

ASP City Abdul Rahim said that the injured were shifted to Civil Hospital. Thousands of people from all over Sindh participate in the mourning procession in Rohri every year to mark the Karbala incident.
