Five killed, four injured in Hub accident

QUETTA: At least five people, including a woman, were killed and six others wounded in a road mishap in Hub, the industrial town of Balochistan, on Sunday.

According to police, the incident occurred at Marble City area of Hub when a speedy jeep hit two motorcycles. As a result, five people were killed, including a woman, and six others were wounded.

"Three people riding a motorbike and two in a jeep were killed in the incident," a police official said, adding that some pedestrians were also among the injured. The rescue teams shifted the dead and the injured to a nearby hospital. The dead were identified as Mama Abbas, Sajid, Muhammad Ramazan, Hoshap and Sitara Bibi, while the injured included Liaquat, Jamil Abbas, Amir Bakhsh and Pehlwan.

The bodies were handed over to the heirs while the injured were referred to a Karachi-based hospital.
