Five die as roof collapses in Swat

PESHAWAR: A woman along with her four children was killed and two others injured when the rooftop of their house caved in at Nangolai, Kabal tehsil of district Swat on early Wednesday. According to police, the incident occurred due to breakage of main girder of the roof and all seven people who were asleep at the time buried under the rubble. Area residents rushed to the scene and retrieved the house inmates, however, a woman and her four children died at the spot. Two others, including a woman sustained injuries in the incident and shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital. Those killed were identified as Akhtar Begum, Aaisha, Abdullah, Aimen and Maria while the injured, included Saima and Said Alam. Condition of the injured was stable. End.
