Fingerprint data of 44,878 criminals compiled

KARACHI: The forensic division of Sindh police has compiled a data of 44,878 people with criminal record in the province in the year 2012. The task had been performed under the Pakistan Fingerprint, Eye Detection System.

These fingerprints belong to 35,629 criminals belonging to Karachi, 1836 to Hyderabad, 594 to Mirpurkhas, 1192 to Dadu, 172 to Nawabshah, 1214 to Sukkur, 1284 to Shikarpur, 948 to Khairpur, 440 to Jacobabad and 604 to Larkana.

AIG Forensic Division Sindh Muneer Ahmed Shaikh said during the year 2012 overall 172 fingerprints were examined in 14 civil suitcases and 12 investigation cases.
