'Fazl invited to Qatar peace talks'

10 February, 2013

NOWSHERA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has said that the party's chief, Fazlur Rehman, is in Qatar as he was invited to take part in the US-Taliban talks.

Various reports say that the United States was holding talks with the Taliban to persuade the militant group to sit at the negotiating table with the Afghan government.

The JUI-F leader was addressing a condolence reference held for the late Qazi Hussain Ahmed. Hafiz advised the Pakistani government to accept the Taliban's offer of talks as soon as possible.

End.
