Father of the nation... By Iftikhar

Stanley Wolpert, in the preface of his book Jinnah of Pakistan, wrote: "Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three."
The father of the nation left an example that must be followed by all leaders around the world. Here is an extract from the Quaid's will: "All my residuary estate including the corpus that may fall after the lapse of life interests or otherwise to be divided into three parts and I bequeath one part to Aligarh University, one part to Islamia College, Peshawar and one part to Sindh Madrassa of Karachi." This shows how selfless and devoted he was. Today we can pay tribute to the father of our nation by establishing higher standards of education, eradicating illiteracy, extremism, nepotism and corruption from society.
