Faisal Abidi records statement with Islamabad Police

ISLAMABAD: Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Senator Faisal Raza Abidi has recorded his statement to Islamabad Police, regarding his press conference about Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Arsalan Iftikhar.
He said that the Chief Justice has taken suo motto notices over minor issues in the past like recovery of wine bottles and slaps of Waheeda Shah but why the Chief Justice is not taking a suo motto action against the slaughtering of personnel of Pakistan Army, rape of women in Parachinar, and killing of people that belong to a particular sect by off-loading them from buses.
He said he stands with all the statements he made on TV talk shows and media.
In his statement to Islamabad Police, he said that he is not party of any campaign launched against the Chief Justice.
He said he respects the judiciary and he does not want to humiliate the Chief Justice and his son, instead he wants their reformation and supremacy of law in the country, so that a society nourishes on the grounds in which general, bureaucrat and judge would not stand above the law.
In his statement, he alleged that the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has got loan from House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC) for "Walima" of his son, while according to rules of HBFC, one cannot get loan having age more than 60 years.
"Age of the Chief Justice is almost 64 years, so he lied regarding getting loan from the HBFC", he stated.
He further stated that one couldn't get loan from HBFC, if he/she does not own his own piece of land.
He said that he would prove according to evidences that Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was fully aware of his son's entire affairs.
He said that the FXA enterprises, which is owned by Arsalan Iftikhar, has address of Chief Justice House, Islamabad, and he provided the evidence to the Islamabad police.
By violating his power in May 2011, the Chief Justice used his authority for issuance of gratis passport for his son Arsalan Iftikhar having number 4194022, while Arsalan Iftikhar is neither any government official nor went on any official visit abroad, then how the passport was issued to him for 5 years.
He said that people from a particular sect are being victimized and killed after seeing their CNIC by offloading them from buses and why the Chief Justice is not taking suo motto notices of these incidents.
He said that he is fighting this battle alone and no conspiracy stays behind this fight.
In his statement, he said that Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is bringing bad name to portfolio of Chief Justice and courts, that's why he is amplifying his voice against the Chief Justice.
