FC kills two suspects in Qilla operation

25 February, 2013

QUETTA: The Frontier Corps (FC) personnel claimed to have killed two suspects and arrested five others in a targeted operation in Qilla Abdullah district on Sunday.

Sources said that FC personnel carried out an operation near the Gulistan area of Qilla Abdullah and killed two men after a gunfight. They said that officials also managed to arrest five suspects.

"The security personnel seized rocket launchers, hand grenades, Kalashnikov rifles and explosives from the arrested accused," a source said.

The sources said that a case had been registered and the arrested suspects were being interrogated. It may be mentioned here that following the governor's rule in Balochistan and getting police power, the FC has killed several accused during search operations across the province, including Quetta.

End.
