The world has become a 'global village' but even now a cheap and demeaning activity can be found in our society — stalking and staring at the female gender. This disturbing trend can be seen at different places such as girls' colleges, markets (especially in the Sunday bazaar) and bus shelters. The dilemma is that people (boys and men) are proud about doing such things. Such negative externalities of society should be abandoned and an awareness programme should be started so that people realise the harm of stalking and teasing women in such places. Our daughters, sisters and mothers are our pride and joy, and they should feel comfortable with every single step they take whether on this journey of life or a journey towards the local market. May God give us strength to overcome such sensitive issues. MUHAMMAD SHADMAN
