Enhancing the real ties... By Nayyar

21 January, 2014

The trade relations between India and Pakistan will definitely help both the countries improve their bottom line. However, India being the larger economy, Pakistan will surely get more benefit. This warming of relations should also be manifested in the resumption of media relations by way of which all the restrictions laid on the viewership of Indian channels in Pakistan and Pakistani channels in India should be removed.

This will be an acid test for both the countries and will show how serious they are in improving people-to-people ties that form the backbone of any relations, be they trade, literary, political or social.
