Emotionally unfit... By Rizwan
24 September, 2012
After reviewing the newspapers of Saturday, what I could conclude was that we Pakistanis have become emotionally unfit. We have proven to the world that we are weak and we can kill our own people and damage our own properties. Our detractors are well aware now that all they need to do is provoke a little, ignite and the rest can be done by us. Rs72 billion is the estimated loss alone that Pakistan has suffered financially in one day; emotionally, the protests left a dozen dead and more than 200 injured. If a world record was to be made for inhumane people, then Pakistanis would have definitely topped it and would have been proud of it. The incidents replicate a true example of how intolerant we have become and how our consciences have gone dead. I wish and pray for the safety of every person living in Pakistan who has now become vulnerable and been left to his own safety. RIZWAN JAMIL JAFFERY
