KARACHI: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Syed Khursheed Shah Sunday said that general elections will be conducted by May 9 and its schedule will be announced over the next 3 to 4 days.

He was talking to media persons here at the residence of former provincial minister of Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Maqbool Shaikh.

To a question, Khursheed Shah said the political scenario never remains stagnant and in politics no one could be called a permanent friend or foe.

He said Pakistan People's Party-led government has completed its five-year tenure and that it was up to the people to elect their next rulers in the upcoming polls.

End.
