Eight militants killed, four hideouts destroyed in Tirrah Valley

PESHAWAR: At least eight militants were killed and several others sustained severe injuries in Khyber agency here on Thursday. According to officials, security forced backed by fighter planes bombed the suspected militant positions in different parts of Bara sub-tehsil in Kurram Agency. As a result of the bombing, eight militants were killed and seven others were reportedly wounded. Four hideouts were also destroyed in the attacks. On the other side in the suburb area of Budabair in Peshawar the security forces was high alerted in the area after rocket attack. According to sources, due to the sudden attack on Mashu gagger checkpost and Bara sheikhan the security is on red alert in the suburb area of Matni and Budbghair . Police with heavy cache of weapons are patrolling in the area while the gunship vehicles were also provided to them. The security forces were also deployed near American consulate. They also issued direction to police that they should be on high alert in police lines and other sensitive places. End.
