ECP announces re-polling in NA-19, KP-81

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced to re-conduct the polling on one National Assembly (NA) and one Provincial Assembly seat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

As per announcement, the polling would be re conducted on the polling stations of NA-19 Haripur and KP-81 Swat. In the constituency of NA-19, polling will be conducted on January 29, while in KP-81 elections will be held on Jan 28.

In constituency NA-19 candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Dr. Amir Zaman had won the elections in May 11. Candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Omer Ayub had challenged his victory in Election Tribunal (ET).

Approving the appeal of PML (N) candidate ET has ordered to conduct the polling on seven polling stations of the constituency.
