Durrani acclaims services of Ryan C. Crocker

ISLAMABAD: The outgoing US Ambassador Ryan C.Crocker called on Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Muhammad Ali Durrani here Tuesday and exchanged matters of mutual interest.
Acclaiming the services rendered by Ryan C. Crocker during his tenure in Pakistan, Senator Durrani said the Pakistani people would long remember the valuable support of the ambassador in the improvement of bilateral ties between the two countries.
The Minister especially paid tributes to Mr. Crocker for playing a pivotal role in ensuring timely assistance to the affectees of deadly earthquake which hit the northern parts of Pakistan on October 8, 2005.
He said the outgoing ambassador was known in Pakistan as humble, polite and active diplomat.
Terming his stay in Pakistan as a historic period, Ryan C. Crocker said he was taking along pleasant memories of his stay in Pakistan.
"I would miss Pakistan," he added. He expressed gratitude to Senator Durrani for his continued cooperation during his tenure as ambassador in Pakistan.
Minister Councilor, Public Affairs, US Embassy, James H.Williams was also present during the meeting.
