Dir police seize 15kg explosives

TIMERGARA: Dir police have foiled a bid of terrorism by seizing 15 kilogrammes explosives and safety fuse in separate operations and arrested two accused, a police spokesman said on Monday.

Police raided suspected areas in the limits of Mayad and Chakdara police stations and arrested Ameer, a resident of Sangapara, and Saleh Muhammad, a resident of Badwan, along with explosive materials.

Separately, police also recovered 15 Kalashnikov rifles, three other rifles and seven pistols from two vehicles in Talash and Timergara areas and moved the arrested accused to undisclosed places for interrogation.
