KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP)'s chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would hold public gathering onOctober 18 at Mazar-e-Quaid that would break all previous records of mass gathering by any party.

Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah claiming despite the threats we have been received Bilawal would not leave the company of masses, he said.

A day earlier PPP announced Bilawal Bhutto would start the democratic journey from October 18, 2014 and would address the party's public meeting, resuming the journey started by Benazir Bhutto on October 18, 2007 as she had arrived in the country during the dictatorial rule.

This is new leadership with new spirit and new soul, said Qaim addressing the press briefing at Chief Minister Houser after PPP Sindh Council meeting. Senior party leaders were present on the occasion.

He said October 18 yet arrive, even before Bilawal has won the hearts of people. Citing the example he said in recent Punjab floods when he visited the parts of province, people welcomed him heartedly because of they witnessed image of his mother.

Seven years have passed but people still remember the death of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, CM added.

He opined on October 18, 2007 after the blasts, devotees of PPP instead of caring their lives rushed towards Benazir Bhutto to protect her. Such examples could be few in world, especially in Pakistan. Even today the spirit was same within PPP rank and file and same character was shown in today's meeting for Bilawal Bhuuto, he added.

When Zulfikar Ali Bhuuto asked Benazir Bhutto to go to masses and thereafter she challenged the dictator Zia-ul-Haq, she was almost same age that his son Bilawal was now.

He said the struggle of Benazir Bhutto was historical. Bilawal was member of such family on whom's death United Nations passed the resolution. He said it was Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's leadership who in 1971 assembled the pieces of remaining Pakistan and said he would make fort of Islam.

He said last year in Tharparkar during drought, he went to hospital in Mithi and even visited the local markets. The kind of threat he has, nobody would have. But he is brave enough and talks bravely. We are presenting such leadership to the masses, he added.

Replying to a question, Qaim said nobody sought apology from him during the meeting for poor governance. However there could be arguments on small level.

Regarding the investigations of October 18, 2007 bombings he said it was great conspiracy. Bombing took place nearly at 12 o clock and police report was registered at 2:30 am. Normally for a case only one report is registered and in the custody of eyewitness or relatives is entered. When in the morning we reached at police station, we were told FIR was already been lodged, he said.

He stated a lot people could have been taken on account in this case. If we had done it, it would be accused we were taking revenge. He said investigation was still going on.

On a question he said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Chairman Imran Khan should look after the areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar, Mardan and others before coming to Sindh.

Last time when he came to Karachi (for his public gathering), he did not even go to the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam. How would he take care of poor people and people like Tharparkar who did not say a single word for sympathies in his speech. We do not have the leadership having container but goes to palace to sleep neither we have containers nor we can afford them, he added.

At a point CM shared it was said by some corners that in Sindh Bilawal was taken for visit to bogus floods camps which was wrong. Those camps were there for the last three weeks, he concluded.

End.
